Our story

We met our senior year in high school and after graduation Kevin joined the Navy and then we got married. We traveled and explored the world (well wherever the Navy took us). Like most military families, we had periods of long deployments and separations. One of our hardest moments was when Kevin was deployed to Japan and Tabitha was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. We can testify that we have made it through the trials that life tried to throw our way. After 21 years of active-duty service, Kevin retired as a Navy Chief and our only son began his career as a firefighter. In 2021, having nothing holding us back, that’s when we decided to go on an adventure of a lifetime. Having never RVed we jumped in with both feet and in 45 days we sold our house, bought a RV, and then a big ol’ truck and we hit the road. That decision led us to work-camping our way across the country, hosting an Alliance regional rally, Kevin attending the NRVTA fundamentals course and a Lippert empowerment class, becoming seRV with Purpose ambassadors, and eventually to RV Unplugged.
